The Eleusian Mysteries were initiations held every year for the cult of Demetre and Phersefone based at Eleusis in ancient Greece.The mysteries rappresent the kidnnapping's myth of Phersefone from her mother Demeter. They are the most famous and secret religius rite of ancient Greece and probably of the world. Scholars and researchers believe that during the rite were used psychedelic substances.We also know that those who participated in the mysteries were forever changed for the better and that they no longer feared death.
